The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers towards the community.

SASSA is going to be rendering solutions for instance new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency mentioned it can be alarmed with regard to the superior number of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The intention on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to sassa status the superior number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This really is as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no totally functional office dedicated to service the area every day. The services level developed for intervention encounters a large influx of possible beneficiaries, which makes it complicated with the Workplace to attend to all people who visit a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more sources to allow the servicing of all buyers and enhance use of Social Assistance expert services,” the agency said.

For more information, community members can call toll free during working days/hours status sassa on 0800 60 10 11 and WhatsApp status sassa on 082 046 8553. - SAnews.gov.za
